Tokyo is packed 24/7 and you can’t go anywhere without hundreds of people around you, a big exception to this is the peaceful Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden in the heart of Shinjuku, although you would swear it’s a million miles away from the crazy streets of the city.
We bought some amazing snacks from a little bakery and found a nice bench to eat our snacks and then took a little walk around the huge gardens. Apparently at the beginning os spring the gardens are one of the best places to view the cherry blossoms.
The gardens are super easy to find and are clearly marked on all the maps found on most street corners in the area, you also have to pay 200 Yen to get in but that’s not a lot at all!
